ZLF 2008 – more than 375.000 visitors

Firewood comeback!
For nine days, visitors of the 124th edition of the Bavarian celebration of agriculture had the opportunity to learn about topics such as countryside and forestry management, nourishment economy by means of discussions, shows and special demonstrations.

More than 375.000 people from cities and countryside visited the ZLF at Theresienwiese, Munich. This number surpassed the number of visitors from 2004.

The great interest shown in the firewood working machines and in the forestry technologies by BGU-Maschinen at ZLF, revealed a turning trend to wood heating. The constant increase in energy costs is leading to the search for alternative sources. This was one of the main topics catching the attention of professional audiences at the BGU-Maschinen stand.

Through the demonstration of heavy-duty splitters, combined saw and splitting machines, as well as timber forwarders, BGU-Maschinen was able to impress private owners with the high performance and efficiency rates of its machinery.
