INTERFORST 2010

INTERFORST is one of the most important logging shows in the world with a complete range of equipment for the reforestation and the timber harvesting  branches, for saw and lumber mills.  The attendance of  leading manufacturers and international  buyers emphazises the leading character of the INTERFORST show. The  11th edition of INTERFORST -  International show of Forest Management and Technologies - took place from July 14th – July 18th 2010 and was enriched by numerous scientific events and special shows.

New optimism revives the forestry branch

Record attendance figures to INTERFORST 2010 provide a clear evidence of an ongoing economic recovery in the forestry branch. During 5 show days 50,000 visitors from 80 different countries (against 59 in 2006) went through the doors of the Münich Show Ground. With 410 exhibitors (against 404 in 2006) INTERFORST 2010 outscored by nearly 10 % the total net surface occupied in the best record year of 2006. The presence of domestic exhibitors registered an increase of 5% with about 25,000 sq.m. net surface occupied. The attendance of foreign exhibitors grew by 15% for approximately 10,000 sq.m. surface. So, INTERFORST 2010 accounted for over 67,000 sq.m. gross surface occupation, 128 foreign exhibitors (against 105 in 2006) from 24 countries (against 15 in 2006).

The team  of BGU Maschinen proudly impressed the visitors  with a striking range of products:  saws and log splitting machines for nearly any application and style for part-time farmers with small forest estates and heavy-duty applications for forest management and logging contractors.

Firewood packing systems : new!

The exciting interest aroused at INTERFORST 2010 about  firewood packing systems by BGU-Maschinen showed that wood heating is going to be a real issue again in the new winter season when it is expected to play a crucial role.  BGU packing systems  „Pack-System PS 1000“, „BGU Pack-System PS 300“ and the latest generation of log bundling machines „HBG 80/1“ and „HBG 100/2“ were demonstrated to private owners of wood estates, logging specialists and contractors who appreciated the performance and the throughput of BGU machines. BGU firewood wrapper „Wraptime“ designed for heavy-duty users and firewood dealers gathered large visitors‘ consent for the excellent packing cycle speed.

A winch generation with refined look and enhanced quality  

BGU range attracted a consistent flow of visitors who were delighted by innovations and actual machines as well.  Outstanding fabrication and finishing, new modern design and  a comprehensive fitting range distinguished BGU log winches at INTERFORST 2010. Practical forestry tool holders, modern technology and attractive look were just some of the exceptional features presented on the show.

New products – winches with integrated log grapples 

The combination log grapples „HRZ Kombi-Anbau“ with 9.5 t closing force  and 160° grapple rotation was optimally developped by BGU Maschinen to complete its braod spectrum of log winches with integrated ancillary tools.

INTERFORST 2010 : a positive budget

As the show closed the gates, BGU Maschinen had gathered a large number of orders and inquiries by present and new clients. This outcome supports very positive expectations for the next future of BGU Maschinen and of the entire branch as well.
